Configuration

—
← change project in the test-tools landing page · values are shared via localStorage.
This page covers the ticket path only. Steam also has a browser sign-in since PSV-2171 (OpenID 2.0 via steam:start with completion: platform → steam:return → steam:claim), which this tool does not drive. Obtain a ticket via the Steamworks SDK's ISteamUser::GetAuthTicketForWebApi (or an equivalent dev tool) and paste its hex encoding here. The backend forwards it to Steam's ISteamUserAuth/AuthenticateUserTicket Web API and resolves the player from the returned steamid.

Flow

  1. 1
    Configuration ready
API base, public key, and a session ticket are set.
  2. 2
    POST /auth/players/login
Backend forwards the ticket to Steam's ISteamUserAuth/AuthenticateUserTicket Web API and resolves the player from the returned steamid, through the same shared provider-verification switch every provider goes through.
  3. 3
    Player session issued
    Returns player_id (subject = SteamID), access_token, refresh_token, expires_in/issued_at.
